The Challenge

Daily wage workers and house owners face a fragmented, unreliable system for connecting, coordinating, and managing work. The core problems included:

  • House owners had no reliable way to find, hire, or track daily wage workers for household tasks.
  • Workers lacked a structured platform to find consistent work opportunities, confirm job details, and get paid reliably.
  • There was no digital record of work done — disputes over hours and payment were common.
  • Coordination happened over phone calls and informal word-of-mouth, making scheduling inefficient and error-prone.
  • Workers had no way to build a professional profile or track their own earnings and work history.

The Solution

Kamdhara was designed as a two-sided platform serving both house owners and workers, with distinct interfaces and workflows for each user type:

For House Owners

  • Browse and hire verified daily wage workers from a searchable directory with skill categories and ratings.
  • Post jobs with details including task type, location, duration, and pay rate.
  • Track active workers with real-time job status updates and daily progress logs.
  • Review work completion records and manage payments digitally.

For Daily Wage Workers

  • Create a digital work profile showcasing skills, availability, and work history.
  • Browse and apply for nearby job postings from house owners.
  • Receive job confirmations, daily check-ins, and payment notifications through the app.
  • Maintain a complete log of all completed jobs and earnings for personal record keeping.

Coordination & Management Layer

  • In-app communication between house owners and workers to discuss job details without relying on external channels.
  • Job lifecycle management from posting to completion, with status milestones at each stage.
  • Dispute resolution support through transparent digital records of agreed terms and completed tasks.

Key Features

  • Two-sided marketplace connecting house owners and daily wage workers
  • Worker profile creation with skills, ratings, and work history
  • Real-time job tracking and daily progress status updates
  • In-app messaging for seamless owner-worker coordination
  • Job posting, application, and confirmation workflow
  • Digital payment tracking and earnings log for workers
  • Job history and completed task records for both user types
  • Push notifications for job confirmations, updates, and reminders

Outcome

Kamdhara digitized the entire daily wage work process — from discovery to completion — for the first time. House owners gained reliable access to verified workers with transparent job tracking, while workers gained a professional platform to find consistent opportunities and build a work reputation. The app reduced coordination time, minimized payment disputes through digital records, and created a structured, trustworthy ecosystem for informal labor.
